Certified Medical Assistant

Unity seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at UNITY HEALTHCARE. The candidate will be joining a well-established practice.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking skills
• Must have good organizational, communication and computer skills
• License(s): CMA required
• Allscripts knowledge preferred

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares patients by reviewing patient medical history and taking vitals
• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments and procedures
• Document patient information utilizing electronic medical records
• Follow guidelines of HIPAA in maintaining patient confidentiality
• Performs additional administrative duties and projects as needed
