Unity seeks a Scribe, to join our team at LAFAYETTE NEUROLOGY, a practice division of Unity Healthcare. Candidate will be joining a well-established practice with one other physician and one Nurse Practitioner.
As a scribe you will accompany the healthcare provider into patient examination rooms in order to transcribe the patient’s history, physical exam findings, consultations, labs, X-Rays, and other evaluation s as stated by the provider, directly into the medical record. A scribe must be a certified healthcare professional as he or she will be entering orders for provider.
Our ideal Scribe will have an understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology. The scribe demonstrates familiarity with medication names and medical procedures. The Scribe will be charting physician’s notes, and must have excellent communication and grammar skills with basic computer knowledge. The Scribe must have the ability to multitask and have attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Experience with EMR, preferred
• 2 Years of Experience, preferred
• License(s): CMA or LPN, preferred
• Part Time, working 2 days/week
• Office hours are Monday- Friday ( 8am-5pm)
• Lafayette, IN
