About Dr. Schul
Dr. Marlin W. Schul, is exclusively dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease. He received his medical degree from Indiana University. His training included a categorical residency in Emergency Medicine at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Schul transitioned his career to Venous Medicine in 2002 after receiving immersion training in the comprehensive management of vein disease in addition to extensive ultrasound diagnostic training. His efforts in research from medical school, residency, and professional career have yielded in peer-reviewed publications, grant awards, and high level speaking opportunities including original research presentation in Rio de Janeiro, October 2005 at the World Congress of Phlebology.
Dr. Schul is board certified, and an active member of the American College of Phlebology. He is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association, Indianapolis Medical Society, and Tippecanoe County Medical Society.

Recent Speaking Event November 10, 2007 at the American College of Phlebology Annual Congress. Recipient of the 2007 BSN Medical Grant Award and presentation of original research titled: "Compression stockings vs. Sclerotherapy for patients with isolated reticular and spider Veins: A Randomized Trial." This study demonstrated clinical improvement in aching, pain and cramping with compression stockings, while sclerotherapy offered further improvement in all clinical parameters studied. When Spider veins were subsequently injected, further relief of pain and aching were reported.
