Billing Questions
If you have any questions regarding your billing or insurance, please
call this number: 765-446-5250.
General Billing Policies
St. Elizabeth Regional Health and
InnerVision currently accepts most insurance
carriers, with the exception of
Arnett HMO, and continues to make
every effort to become a participant in
as many insurance plans as possible.
Even if we are not in an insurance
plan's network, there are many situations
in which our lower fees will result
in less out-of-pocket expense for the
patient. Patient’s with HCA and Arnett
Managed Care are able to use our facility
but would be responsible for 40% of
the billed charges (verses 20% for an “in-plan” provider) in addition to their
deductible. In order for an Arnett
HMO patient to use our facility, they
would be responsible
for obtaining a prior
authorization from
Arnett prior to scheduling
their exam. If
you have a question
regarding insurance
coverage, fees, or likely out-of-pocket
expenses, please feel free to call our
billing office at 765-446-5250 between
the hours of 8:00am and 5:00 pm.,
Monday thru Friday.
Comparing costs for your
imaging exam?
For patients who are comparing prices to
determine whether studies are performed
less expensively at InnerVision or elsewhere,
you will be quoted the "technical" fee (the
fee for doing the exam), the "professional"
fee (from the radiologist to oversee and interpret
the exam), and any administered drugs.
The prices quoted elsewhere will generally
only include the technical fee and not include
the contrast charges and radiologist fees,
which can represent an additional 25-40%.
Therefore, our costs are often lower than our
competitors.
Will my insurance cover my
Wellness Imaging?
Wellness examinations, such as Heart-
Visions (coronary artery calcification
evaluations with CT scan) will be filed
with your insurance company. Some insurance
plans will reimburse for these exams
under "preventive" or "wellness" parts of
their plans. Those patients without insurance
are required to make payment in full
prior to the beginning of the procedure.
These exams could also be reimbursed
through the patients flexible spending accounts.
What if I do not have insurance?
Self-pay patients (those without health insurance
coverage of any type) will be required
to pay 25% of the charge before the
examination is performed. They need to
bring some form of payment to their appointment.
VISA, MasterCard, Discover,
check and cash are acceptable. Payment
arrangements will need to be made at the
time of service on the remaining 75% balance
and will be due in a timely fashion.
InnerVision wants to
work with you
These arrangements are to be made with
the InnerVision Billing Office. We will
then notify our Central Billing Office of
these payment arrangements. SERH and
InnerVision will give a 20% discount off
of the total charge if payment is made at
the time of service or if payment is received
within 10 days of the billing
statement date. A 15% discount will
apply if payment is made within 30 days
of the billing statement date. No discount
is given after 30 days.
InnerVision is certainly willing to work
with individuals who have limited financial
resources to help them obtain the
care they need. We do not want patients
to be worried about these issues at the
time of their examination. Please rest
assured that InnerVision makes every
effort to work with patients to minimize
their costs and to establish a payment
plan that is reasonable and fair.
