Unity Healthcare is pleased to announce that Ajita Narayan, MD, PhD has joined Lafayette Cancer Care. Dr. Narayan will be practicing with Dr. Nancy DiMartino.

She obtained her medical degree from Goa Medical College in Bambolim, Goa, India and then pursued a PhD in biochemistry at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following that, she finished a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital, Chesterfield, Missouri and a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Ohio.

Dr. Narayan is Board Eligible in Oncology and Hematology. She is a member of the American Society for Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

In her spare time, she enjoys listening to jazz and Indian Classical music.

Dr. Narayan will be fully participating in the many health plans, which Unity Healthcare currently participates.
