Healthcare billing can be confusing. We do our best to keep our billing processes as simple and hassle-free as possible, but, we understand that we do this every day and you don’t. Therefore, when you need assistance or have questions, our billing specialists are available. You will talk with a live person, not an automated system.

Also, access to a Unity Healthcare provider may require authorization by your primary care physician or your managed care plan.

For your convenience, you can now quickly and securely pay your bill online. If you have not used the system before, please read these tips before getting started.

  • Please have your statement available.
  • You will need to reference the account number on it.
  • You will need to create an account the first time you log in.
  • You may use a credit card or debit card to pay your bill.
  • You can use this site to pay any bill from Unity Healthcare. (Franciscan Health Lafayette administers the billing for Faith, Hope & Love.  You cannot use this website to pay that bill.)

Through the Pay My Bill feature, you can also opt-in for paperless billing and sign up for online statements. Once you go paperless, you won’t have to worry about waiting for bills in the mail or having to remember where you put your statement.

Follow My Health is a secure, convenient way to manage your personal health care online. This FREE self-service health management tool can improve interactions with your doctor’s office, document important health care information and ultimately give you the ability to make more informed decisions about your health.

Follow My Health’s features will simplify your life:

  • View your health information electronically anytime, anywhere
  • Download, fax, and email select health information – immunizations history, school exam forms, and more
  • Review your personal medical records, including test and lab results
  • Request appointments when it’s convenient for you
  • Request prescription refills
  • Send and receive messages from your doctor’s office
  • Receive reminders for preventative and follow-up care

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I share my account with another person, like my spouse or parent?
A: Yes, you can grant Adult proxy access to your Follow My Health account to another person. You must complete an authorization form prior to sharing information through a proxy account. Once the form is received and processed, you can set up the proxy:

  1. Log into your account and select Settings > Change Account Access.
  2. Enter the email address of the individual to whom you would like to grant proxy access.
  3. Select a pass code for the individual to enter when accessing your account.
  4. Provide this code to the proxy.
Q: Can I access my child’s medical information?
A: You can have a Pediatric Proxy/Dependent account to securely access information on behalf of a pediatric patient under the age of 14 years old. On the patients 14th birthday, the account will automatically terminate due to privacy concerns and you will need to set up an Adult proxy account for continued access.
Q: Why isn’t my provider available?
A: Only those physicians currently using the Follow My Health electronic medical record are available. Most, but not all practices use this tool.
Q: What is the order of providers listed in “My Providers”?
A: Providers are listed with the most frequently visited at the top of the list, the least visited provider will be at the bottom.
Q: Is there an app for the iPhone or Android?
A: Yes, download the FollowMyHealth mobile app from iTunes or Google Play.
Q: How far back does my electronic health record reflect?
A: Everything from 1/1/2013 to the present is viewable on your account.

You may compare prices when you fill up your car with gas or purchase groceries, but it is less common to shop for medical services.

Online price-comparison tools often provide outdated information and don’t compare comparable services.  Can you really compare the cost of a colonoscopy that doesn’t provide anesthesia to one that does? Not only is there is a difference in cost, but there is likely a big difference in patient experience.

Unity Healthcare does not compromise quality for cost.  We have introduced some of the latest technology and most advanced treatment options to this community, but we also want healthcare to be as affordable as possible.
