Responsibilities
- Oversees surgeon’s office practice, schedules surgeries, and handles patient phone calls
- Works closely with outside surgical facilities on orders, presenting, and H&P’s
- Assists surgeon with scheduled and call cases
- Manages the insurance authorization process with patient’s insurance
- Shares responsibility for stocking office exam rooms/procedure rooms
- Follow guidelines of HIPAA in maintaining patient confidentiality
Requirements & Skills
- Certification(s): Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required; BLS preferred
- Excellent communication skills required
- High attention to detail
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
