FT/PT Anesthesiology Opportunity – Lafayette, IN – Sign-on Bonus

The ASC for Unity Healthcare opened in 2001, providing surgical and anesthesiology services for physicians, APP providers, and patients of Unity Healthcare. 

As we plan for the retirement of one of our current physicians, we are seeking to employ a full-time or part-time Anesthesiologist to practice at Unity Surgical Center. In this role, most of your cases will require MAC or general anesthesia; basic blocks requested include interscalene, popliteal, and IVRA. Multiple surgical specialties are covered, including a large endoscopy practice.  No hospital privileges are required.

You will be joining a well-established team of 60+ providers who deliver quality, patient-centered care across 20+ specialties to the patients of Lafayette, IN. Unity Healthcare is a significant, long-standing player in Lafayette; they are a locally owned and managed group of physicians in which decision making is made by your peers. Leadership opportunities are also available.   Unity Surgical Center is a joint venture with Franciscan Health Lafayette.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Traditional 100% outpatient surgery center practice
  • Majority of cases are performed Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00 pm
  • No weekends, holidays, or call required
  • Average daily cases 1-15/day; 25-45/week, 1500 – 2000/yr
  • Access to radiology and lab services provided on site at the MOB
  • Experienced support staff of OR nurses and techs
  • SIS EMR system

How often Anesthesiologist will perform each of the following:

  • Pediatric – Occasionally
  • Orthopedic – Occasionally
  • Regional – Optional

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of residency training in Anesthesiology
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist by the ABA
  • Experience is highly desired although new grads are encouraged to apply
  • License to practice medicine in the state of Indiana or the ability to become licensed prior to starting
