Unity Healthcare seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician to join our team at Preferred Pediatrics of Lafayette, a practice division of Unity Healthcare.

Preferred Pediatrics consists of 5 physicians and 4 Nurse Practitioners.  With Unity, you will be joining a well-established medical group team of 60+ providers who deliver quality, patient-centered care across 20+ specialties to the patients of Lafayette, IN.  Unity Healthcare is a significant, long-standing player in Lafayette; they are a locally owned and managed group of physicians in which decision making is made by your peers.  Leadership opportunities are also available.

Our ideal Pediatrician will be personable and skilled at relationship building in order to help create a positive atmosphere at this location. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, with a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. We are interested in those who display interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. Physician will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Full Time or Part Time
• Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (inpatient rounding before clinic)
• Call Schedule: Shared call among providers. Current call is every 6^th weekend and equal holiday and weeknight coverage
• In and Outpatient Care: admitting to the pediatric floor and seeing newborns. No C-section attendance required
• Travel: Only to the hospital for rounds or for CME conferences
• The admitting hospital has 24/7 NICU coverage

QUALIFICATIONS:

• US Residency Required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Experienced pediatricians or new fellows /new residents are encouraged to apply
• State License to practice medicine in the state of Indiana or the ability to be licensed upon starting
• ABP certified or eligible
• License(s): MD or DO
• Certification(s): Controlled Substance Registration
• Not Excluded from Medicaid
