Plan Ahead For Appointments

Some immunizations should be given several weeks prior to travel for full effectiveness, so plan to make an appointment six to eight weeks prior to departure. But if you’ve missed that timeline, it’s still a good idea to make a travel medicine appointment before you travel abroad.
