Minor Acute Conditions: Many minor acute conditions, such as cuts, sprains, sore throats, flu, and fever, can be treated in the office and do not require emergency care.
Annual Physicals: An annual physical is an evaluation of your body to screen for illnesses and prevent diseases. The complete health assessment includes gathering information about your medical history and lifestyle, laboratory testing, and screening for disease.
Sports Physicals: Also called pre-participation physicals, sport physicals are a great way to make sure an athlete can safely play. Even if your state or school doesn’t require it, sports physicals also help to keep immunizations up to date and provide an opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have.
Well Child Visits: Well-child visits are your child’s regular doctor visit. It is a time when parents can check up on their child’s health and make sure their child is growing and developing normally. Well-child visits usually start a few days after children are born, and continue until your child turns 18.
Immunizations: Immunizations protect you from serious diseases and also prevent the spread of those diseases to others. There is an immunization schedule for children, preteens, teens, and adults.
Weight Loss: Dietary counseling, prescription medications, referral to dietician, dietary programs or bariatric surgeons are treatment options.
Screening and Treatment for Chronic Diseases: Many illnesses, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, show no symptoms so regular screening is necessary for diagnosis. Chronic illnesses usually cannot be cured completely, yet some illnesses can be controlled or managed through lifestyle modification and medication.
General Family Medicine: In addition to services listed above, our practice provides general and chronic care for patients of all ages, as well as comprehensive services for women, and preventive diagnostic screenings.
Thank you for choosing Estep Family Medicine.
