Services
CDL Exams. (Same day): The Department of Transportation requires all CDL drivers to receive periodic physical examinations from an approved DOT medical examiner. A CDL exam costs $125 and is not billed to insurance.
In-office Procedures: Â We perform a number of office procedures, including: cryotherapy, skin biopsies, sebaceous cyst removal, suturing lacerations, IV services and more.
Lab Services: Our office performs many laboratory tests to diagnose illnesses and manage chronic diseases. Â Some of the most common tests we run are lipid panels, glucose testing, rapid flu and strep testing, and hemoglobin A1C.
Routine Physical Exams and Preventive Care: Even when your family members are healthy, well visits are necessary to evaluate general health, growth and development. During these visits, we will give your family member important medical services including health exams, immunization treatments, screenings, and specialist referrals if necessary.
Sick Visits: We evaluate and treat acutely ill or injured patients saving you a trip to the emergency room. Â The most common health issues we see in the office are asthma, cough, cold, sore throat, flu, minor injuries, and sports injuries. Â We make every effort to schedule sick appointments on the same day that you call us.Â
Sports Physicals: Most athletic leagues and schools require sports physicals. They raise awareness of any issues that may interfere with your child’s ability to participate in a sport. We can identify areas that may be prone to injury and check your athlete’s vitals, joints, and flexibility. We will also check your athlete’s vision and do a short fitness assessment to diagnose and recommend any possible limitations on physical activity. A sports physical costs $55 and is not billable to insurance.
Welcome to Medicare Visits: Medicare covers a one-time, initial examination within the first 12 months you enroll in Part B. All people new to Medicare qualify for this visit.
Women’s Health: Well woman care includes a yearly exam and Pap test as well as screening for osteoporosis, breast disease, and hormonal imbalances. Well woman care is beneficial for women during their reproductive years as well as during and after menopause.

We are very happy you have chosen Flora Family Medicine for your health care. Â Please review the following guidelines so we may better serve you and all of our patients:
Appointment Time: If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, it may be necessary for us to reschedule you in order to stay on schedule for our other patients.
Check Payment: we do not accept post-dated checks and charge an additional $40 for a bounced check.
CDL: There is a $50 fee to have a sleep apnea form filled out if the CDL physical was completed elsewhere.
Credit Cards: There is a $5.00 minimum to run a payment on the card machine.
FMLA: For established patients there is a $35 fee to have papers filled out without an appointment. For non-established patients then you must make an appointment or there is a $70 fee.
Insurance Card: Please bring your card to all appointments. We will assume you are a cash-pay patient if the card is not presented within 30 days of your visit date.
Medicaid: Dr. Dutter must be the primary care provider for Medicaid insurance and it is necessary to check insurance prior to being seen.
Past Due Accounts: You will be require to pay for any medical treatment on the same day of service if your account has more than a $250 balance. Â If your account is in collections, you will be asked to pay your co-pay and 20% of the amount that has been sent to collections prior to being seen.
Prescription Refills: Please give us 48 hours to process a prescription refill request.

Follow My Health is an electronic medical record that provides you with a secure and convenient way to manage your personal health care online. This free self-service health management tool can improve interactions with your doctor’s office, document important health care information, and allow you to make more informed decisions about your own health.
General Health Maintenance Guidelines
- Unless a medical condition prohibits it, 30 minutes of aerobic activity (life brisk walking) at least three to four times a week if recommended.
- A low-fat, low-cholesterol, relatively low-sugar diet is recommended for all patients.
- We strongly advise a no-smoking policy for all patients and we are happy to provide information on smoking cessation aids and programs.
- We recommend yearly flu shots for all people 65 or older or those with compromised immune systems, tetanus boosters every 10 years, and a pneumonovax (pneumonia shot) for those not previously vaccinated by age 65
- Because excessive sun exposure is a major risk factor, always use sunscreen and avoid sun exposure during peak hours.
- Always use seat belts, bike helmets, and other protective gear because statistics show they greatly reduce serious injuries.
